11 new A330-300s for Garuda Indonesia

The Indionesian carrier Garuda placed an order for 11 Airbus A330-300s on April 11, for a value of $2.4 bilion. The signing ceremony in Jakarta was attended by Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and by British Prime Minister David Cameron. This new order brings the total of A330-300s in service with the airline to 21. All this aircraft are, or will be, powered by Rolls Royce Trent 700 engines.

Garuda operates the twin-engined Airbus in a two-class layout from its Jakarta hub to destinations in Asia, Middle East and the Pacific.
