New Vueling base at Rome Fiumicino

The Spanish low-cost carrier Vueling opened a new base in Rome on March 25 operating a single Airbus A320. The Italian airport is the carrier's third operational hubafter Amsterdam Schiphol and Toulous


60th Boeing 777 for Air France


On April 4, Air France received its 60th Boeing 777. The aircraft, a series-328ER F-GZNL (c/n 40063) is equipped with 422 seats. A three-class configuration is available, including 14 Business Class lie-flat beds and 32 Alize Premium Economy seats. The twin-engined Boeing will be based at Paris Charles De Gaulle, and used on Caribbean and Indian Ocean routes, serving French Overseas Departments such as Fort de France, Pointe-à-Pitre and St. Denis de la Reunion.

The 61th B777 was delivered in the second week of April, while a third one is expected to be received later in the summer.

Air Malta increasing its services to Tripoli

Air Malta has increased its services to Tripoli to six-times weekly.  The carrier is also is also negotiations to launch services to Benghazi.


EasyJet to launch London-Luxmbourg route

EasyJet has announced plans to introduce flights from London Gatwick to Luxembourg on October 29. The low-cost carrier will be the first no-frills operator to serve Luxembourg. Currently, the central european state is served by British AIrways and Luxair.
